Our church seeks to be a place where all are welcomed to encounter Jesus Christ. Prayer is the wellspring of our life and mission, where we meet Jesus and are refreshed.
THE DIVINE OFFICE
Every weekday evening, all are welcome to join The Wellspring Community for Evening Prayer from the Divine Office. The prayer consists of psalms, a short reading, silent prayer, and intercessions. This is a very ancient way of praying, uniting us with Jesus who himself prayed the psalms. It’s a beautiful way of praising God and interceding for the world.
Monday at 6:00pm and Tuesday – Friday at 6:30pm in St Joseph’s Church.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Fridays from 3-6pm.
PRAYERS FOR HEALING
Once a month after the 11:30am Sunday Mass, prayer teams are available in the church to pray individually with people for their needs. This is a wonderful opportunity to be supported in your search for God, to seek more in your faith, to receive the Holy Spirit more fully, or to pray for healing. God can act powerfully in our lives when others pray with and for us. See the newsletter for details.
PADRE PIO PRAYERS
The Padre Pio prayer group happens most Thursday evenings from 7pm, and includes Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
A prayer group takes place weekly for young adults and students, as well as a wider programme of formation, retreats, and mission opportunities. Visit the Young Adults & Students page for full details.
Mass is celebrated most weekdays, Tuesday – Friday at 6pm at St Joseph’s, and 10am at St John the Baptist (except Thursdays) – please check the newsletter for the most up-to-date times.
THE PRAYER AND LITURGY TEAM
The Prayer and Liturgy Team aims to promote and coordinate various opportunities for shared prayer in the Parish and to ensure that our Liturgical life is well resourced and provides for the needs of a wide range of people.
